Ghanaian young defender Gideon Mensah played his first game for Swedish top-flight side Varbergs Bols FC in their 3-1 Defeat to BK Hacken on Thursday at the Varberg Energi Arena.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate was making his first appearance after securing his work permit to play in Sweden.
The 19-year-old Centre-back who joined Varbergs Bols on a season-long loan deal from Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland was been unable to feature for the club in their previous games due to documentation issues.
But after resolving all formalities needed, Mensah finally made his debut after being introduced into the game in the 38th minute to replace Cote d’Ivoire left-back Adama Fofana who is also a former Right to Dreams Academy player.
