Former Asante Kotoko defender Richard Osei Agyemang has urged current players of the club not to be shakened by the appointment of coach CK Akonnor.

This comes after rife media reports suggested that the young but brilliant gaffer is difficult to work with.

“Don’t be afraid with his appointment. It is only a player who doesn’t merit a position but playing under a condition who will be nervous about him.Every good player welcomes a good coach with pride,” Agyemang said on KUMASI FM 104.1MHZ.

He added ”They shouldn’t harbour any fear in them but play their normal game. He sometimes shout at you when things go bad but after everything he become sober and apologies. With the help of the assistant coach he will help change a lot for the good,”.

“I became very excited when I heard he’s signed for Kotoko because he’s the best coach I’ve ever met with how he brought the best in me by giving me much confidence to play. The supporters must support him to succeed because there are already good materials. Dr Kwame Kyei and his management must support him to achieve the target given him,”
