Ghanaian defender, Ishaku Konda was named in the Estonia Meistriliiga Team-Of-The-Week for the first time after playing in his second game of the season for Paide Linnameeskond.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian was a rock-solid at the back for the Purple and Red side as they defeated FC Kuressaare 1-0 at home to second on the league table after week six.
Konda, a Ghana Premier League winner joined the Estonia Meistriliiga team, Paide Linnameeskond this February after playing in six Division One League games for Asokwa Deportivo SC in the Zone Two.
With his defensive master-class performance in his side’s narrow win, the Ghanaian’s performance in the game was rewarded with a place in the best-eleven players of the week in the league.
Konda, since his move have featured in two games for his club and have picked one win and a draw and is yet to suffer a defeat with the club.
