Stade Rennes were defeated 2-1 by Lille at home on Wednesday night as Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana was substituted at the hour mark.

The home sides were rusty and got beaten by a meticulous Lille side who went ahead by 2-0 in the 31st and 45th minutes before Rennais pulled a goal back five minutes from time.
Sulemana started once again but had little impact on the game as his place by taken by Jeremy Doku in th 60th minute.
The defeat means Rennes drop to the 3rd place after 16 games played on 28 points.
