America based Ghanaian boxer Frederick “Okunka” Lawson has tipped his Ghanaian fellow Isaac “The Royal Storm” Dobgoe to beat Mexican opponent Cesar Juarez in their tonight’s vacant WBO World super bantamweight title bout at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The orthodox welterweight boxer (Frederick Lawson) who November 2017 defeated Fidel Monterrosa Minoz by a 3rd round submission knockout in an exclusive interview with sportsworldGhana.com on Isaac Dogboe’s mega bout dubbed ‘the battle of the gold coast’ communicated that “With training everything is possible in boxing and in any field of sports one finds himself. But with Isaac Dobgoe, he’s a prospective boxer who is trying very hard and tirelessly to raise the flag of Ghana high which he’s doing, and l must say l’m very proud of him.”
“l know for sure he’ll beat Juarez hands-down to ascertain the win due to the fact that, the bout is happening here in Ghana. And not just that, the boy is also a quality who can do better than what’s expected of him to do and has more in him cause he’s still young. Which leaves me nothing but to develop the impression he’s winning his tonight’s bout over Juarez,” Lawson noted.
“He has this zeal in him that drives him on that he can do, because if you watch he’s fights he don’t take chances. He’s also just busy working out all night which makes me tip him to him win tomorrow,” Okunka added.
On how Ghanaians should approach the fight said “this bout is no joke and Ghanaians shouldn’t take the bout as such, but should take it very serious because the boy (Isaac Dobgoe) badly needs the cheers, support and chants of his home grown citizenry to see him win the fight”.
The highly anticipated boxing bout this time is in the safety promotional hands of the Raising Star Africa Promotions as the bout starts at 7:00pm prompt.
