French Ligue 1 stars in AFCON 2025

25 players from the French Ligue 1 will take part in the AFCON 2025. Cameroon will have five players, with Gabon and the Ivory Coast having four players each.

Burkina Faso will be represented by two Ligue 1 players, as Angola, Benin, Egypt and Tanzania allhaving one player each.


The full list of Ligue 1 stars in AFCON 2025

Angola: 1 — Clinton Mata (Olympique Lyonnais)

Benin: 1 — Aiyegun Tosin (FC Lorient)

Burkina Faso: 2 — Hervé Koffi (Angers SCO), Arsène Kouassi (FC Lorient)

Cameroon: 5 — Frank Magri (Toulouse FC), Danny Namaso (AJ Auxerre), Arthur Avom and Darlin Yongwa (FC Lorient), Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe (Stade Brestois 29), Mahamadou Nagida (Stade Rennais FC)

Côte d’Ivoire: 4 — Guéla Doué (RC Strasbourg Alsace), Seko Fofana (Stade Rennais FC), Jean-Philippe Gbamin (FC Metz), Jean-Philippe Krasso (Paris FC)

DR Congo: 3 — Chancel Mbemba and Ngal’ayel Mukau (LOSC), Lionel Mpasi (Havre AC)

Egypt: 1 — Mostafa Mohamed (FC Nantes)

Gabon: 4 — Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Olympique de Marseille), Jacques Ekomié and Jim Allevinah (Angers SCO), Urie-Michel Mboula (FC Metz)

Nigeria : 3 — Moses Simon (Paris FC), Terem Moffi (OGC Nice), Chidozie Awaziem (FC Nantes)

Tanzania: 1 — Ally Samatta (Havre AC)
