Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku is targeting victory for his side in their Ligue 1 clash against Bordeaux on Sunday.
Strasbourg will welcome Bordeaux to the Meinau Stadium on Sunday in their Ligue 1 matchday 16 fixture.
“We are happy to have collected points in recent weeks. We have started a series, now we must do everything to extend it as long as possible.”- Djiku said at a pre-match conference.
”At the moment, we are all doing a little more. We are all united, the executives have returned to their level and success is a little more on our side.
According to Djiku, his side have been impressive in their away matches but yet to replicate the same performance in their home games.
“We have been performing better away from home than at home since the start of the season. We have to get home quickly, that is important to us.
He added that “Bordeaux will necessarily be revenge. You have to be patient and not rush to find the opening against a team that concedes few goals. ”
The 26-year-old was in top form at the heart of defence for Strasbourg as they defeated Angers 2-0 on match week 15 on Wednesday.
Djiku has been impressive in the ongoing 2020/21 season for his side.
The stalwart centre back who made his debut for the Black Stars in October lasted the entire duration of the game partnered Mohammed Simakan in defence as they kept another clean sheet in the league.
The versatile defender has made 11 appearances for Strasbourg so far this season.
Djiku was named in the French Ligue 1 Team of the Week after his outstanding display against Angers.
