Germany-born Ghanaian forward Gabriel Kyeremateng is set to leave SC Verl after just one season, with the club opting not to extend his contract.

The 26-year-old striker joined the 3. Liga outfit in the summer of 2024, aiming to reignite his career and strengthen the team’s attack under head coach Alexander Ende. However, his time at the club was brief and offered limited opportunities to make an impact.

Kyeremateng managed only three appearances in the league, finding it difficult to secure a consistent role within a squad undergoing several transitions. Despite the lack of playing time, he remained professional and brought valuable experience to the team.

A product of Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy and formerly part of Stoke City’s U23 side, Kyeremateng is known for his technical ability, smart movement, and eye for goal. He previously enjoyed productive spells at Sonnenhof Großaspach and SV Waldhof Mannheim, where his hard work and energy earned him praise.

As he prepares for the next chapter in his career, Kyeremateng remains a player with potential. A move elsewhere — whether within Germany or abroad — could offer the fresh start needed to unlock the qualities that SC Verl didn’t fully witness.
