Ebusua Dwarfs recorded a 2-2 draw at home with Elmina Sharks on Sunday afternoon in the Ghana Premier League with George Asamoah emerging as Man of the Match.
The regional rivals who have fought some titanic battles between them in the past put up a great performance at the empty Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Dennis Nkrumah Korsah gave Dwarfs the lead earlier on in the game as he converted a penalty but Sharks fought back and netted twice through Richard Mpong and Ishmael Hammond before the game went on recess.
The second half saw Simon Martey, Michael Asamoah piling pressure on the Sharks defenders as Dwarfs took hold of the game.
Sharks coach Yaw Acheampong brought on Tahir Mensah and Rasheed Baba for James Bissue and Richard Mpong respectively as the Elmina side stabilized the midfield.
With defeat staring in the faces of Dwarfs at their own backyard, goalkeeper Razak Issah pulled off the magic with an 85th minute freekick goal to end the game 2-2.
Issah becomes the first Ghanaian goalkeeper to score a Ghana Premier League goal since Philemon Macarthy did it for Dreams FC against New Edubiase in the 2016/2017 season.
