German defender Steffen Nkansah of Ghanaian descent, netted the only goal to seal victory for Eintracht Braunschweig in their 1-0 away win against Hallerscher FC Wednesday evening.
Nkansah, 24, expertly slotted Martin Kobylanski’s pass into the top corner of the post in the 34th minute.
Hallerscher came into the match stronger after going behind but failed to grab the equalizer before the interval.
Braunschweig upped their performance in the second half and made the game very difficult for the home team.
Steffen Nkansah, however, didn’t finish the game after being sent of seven minutes to stoppage time for giving his opponent an unsporting tackle.
Braunschweig, after the win, over Hallerscher FC, moves to fourth on the league table.
