German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are in talks with Ghanaian youth defender Lloyd Addo Kuffour over a possible contract extension.
The 18-year-old left-back of Ghanaian origin joined the under-14 side of Dortmund from Hannover 96 on July 1, 2016 and has progressed over the years to the under 19 team.
His contract with the under-19 side was expected to expire on June 30, 2020 but talks for renewal were put on hold and now both parties are back to the negotiation table for an extension
Kuffour played 12 times for Dortmund this season with nine of them coming in the Bundesliga under-19 league whilst the remaining three were in the UEFA Youth League.
Despite being a natural left-back, Kuffour has been used in a number of positions, including central defence, left-wing and as a central midfielder because of his versatility.
He was born to Ghanaian parents in the German city of Hannover and has represented the European country up to the under-19 level, although he is still eligible to play for Ghana at senior side.
Kuffour has been likened by the German press to Bayern Munich hotshot David Alaba due to his style of play.
