The Ghana Football Association convened a highly productive meeting with all 18 Premier League clubs to address key issues concerning the league’s progression. This gathering, which transpired on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Association’s Boardroom, delved into pivotal matters, notably the revision of the partnership between betPawa and the Ghana Premier League.

During the meeting, extensive discussions took place regarding the updated collaboration between the GFA and betPawa. A significant aspect of this revision involved betPawa committing to an augmented Locker Room Bonus for players from teams emerging victorious in league matches.

A noteworthy development emerged as betPawa pledged to finalize the construction of an artificial pitch at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, showcasing their commitment to the development of football infrastructure.

The participating Premier League clubs actively engaged in dialogue and reached a consensus on the Association’s decision to provide a comprehensive support package for the upcoming 2023/24 league season. This initiative aimed to fortify the clubs and enhance the overall quality of the league.

In addition to discussing the revised partnership and support package, the meeting provided an opportune moment to conduct a comprehensive review of the ongoing season. The clubs collectively assessed the league’s current status, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.

Furthermore, the stakeholders explored diverse strategies designed to elevate the standard of the Ghana Premier League. This forward-looking discussion underscored the commitment of both the GFA and the participating clubs to continual enhancement and growth within the realm of Ghanaian football.

As the meeting concluded, a palpable sense of unity and shared purpose resonated among the representatives of the Football Association and the Premier League clubs, setting a positive tone for the future of the league.

The collaborative efforts showcased the dedication of all involved parties to foster a thriving and competitive football environment in Ghana.
