The Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku appeared on Max Television on Monday where he was interviewed on wide-ranging issues and took the opportunity to hail Ghana’s leading striker abroad Jordan Ayew voted as the best player of the season at Crystal Palace this term.
The Palace forward scored 9 goals in the Premier League this season to finish as club top-scorer in both the league and across all competitions and the GFA boss is impressed.
“I think that he (Jordan Ayew) reminds me of my very active days at Dreams FC where we have this slogan – Still Believe. He is a very good a example of that slogan.” Kurt Okraku told Max TV on Monday afternoon.
“He is coming from a very very difficult footballing period. He was challenged to deliver at that age and despite the challenge he has always kept the believe that it is possible for him to achieve.
Thankfully he has a manager in Roy who believes in his quality. I think that he has justified the believe that the club manager had in him. He’s been phenomenal, he’s played some good football and scored some amazing goals” the GFA boss lavished praises on the leading Ghana attacker.
“I will encourage him to keep his team up and to remain focus because it’s now started. Next season he has another opportunity to prove that he is who he is and that he is not a nine day wonder talent.
I am very positive about the future and I know that he will continue to improve and bang in some more goals and most importantly he will come back to bang in some more goals for our Black Stars” Kurt added.
