The executive council of the Ghana Football Association has had its full squad after Upper East Regional Football Association chairman Salifu Zida was elected onto its membership on Thursday.
Salifu Zida pulled 6 votes to 0 after 4 members of the regional football body abstained from voting at the GFA’s 25th Ordinary congress at the Ghana Soccer Center of Excellence- Prampram.
Zida beat defeated Central Regional chairman Robert Duncan, who announced his decision to withdraw from the election late after voting.
With his election, Salifu Zida becomes the number 12 member of the council.
He will however head the Referees committee of the Association ahead of the upcoming 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.
