Ghana Football Presidential candidate, George Afriyie, has called on all stakeholders including his contenders to join forces to chart new course for football in the country.
The former Ghana FA vice President who stylishly submitted his nomination forms to the GFA secretariat on Friday afternoon, in a speech delivered to the media mentioned that football is a collective sport that requires the collective resources of all stakeholders.
“Football is a team sports, and not an individual sport, one man George Afriyie cannot transform Ghana football, we need the collective ideas of all my colleagues to come on board and to chart a new face for Ghana Football, a face that will repose confidence in the sporting public, and the corporate world” said the Okyeman Planners Chief.
George Afriyie has massively received endorsement from the football family, with 12 premier League clubs, and 20 division one clubs endorsing his candidature.
The Business mogul, is currently a member of the CAF AFCON organizing committee, and has served on several football committees both in Ghana, WAFU and Africa.
Accra Great Olympics boss Fred Pappoe, Osei Parma of Tema Youth SC, Dreams FC President Kurt Okraku and Nana Yaw Amponsah of Phar Rangers FC are the other candidates who are contesting George Afriyie to become new Ghana Football Association President.
