Senegal have beaten Ghana’s Black Stars B to win the 2019 edition of the Wafu Cup of Nations.

The hosts defeated the Black Stars 3-1 on penalties to win the trophy after a draw 1-1 of of thrilling 120 minutes of football at the Stade Lat Dior on Sunday night.

Substitute Youssouph Badji finally broke the deadlock for the hosts after a thrilling 108 minutes of football but Accra Hearts of Oak striker Joseph Esso drew Ghana level minutes later to send the game to penalty shootouts.

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed and Asante Kotoko duo of Augustine Okrah and Justice Blay missed their spots respectively with Ashantigold SC midfielder Appiah McCarthy being the only Ghanaian player to convert his kick.
