GK Razak Abalora – 6
Conceded a goal that could have been avoided. Apart from this he was solid in goal and made couple of saves to deny Qatar from scoring any more goals.
RB Benson Annan -6
Defensively he was solid but didn’t offer much in attack.
LB Gideon Mensah -6
This was a much better performance we saw from the Ghana number 3. He was at fault for two of Mali goals last Friday but he recovered from that nightmarish display.
CB Alexander Djiku – 6
Asked to play in role that is not unfamiliar to him he did his job well.
CB Joseph Aidoo – 6
Failed to prevent the Qatar goal as Almoez was given too much of space to utilize in the build up to their equalizer of the Middle East country. The Celta Vigo defender however played well alongside Djiku.
CM Thomas Partey -7
Produced a big performance and was the best player in the midfield as he controlled the game with his vision and control on the ball. Made one assist for Samuel Owusu to score.
CM Idrisu Baba – 6
Brought control in the midfield and covered lot of ground. He did his job well.
RW Samuel Owusu – 6.5
Owusu was so important for Ghana in this game. Very animated throughout the contest. He scored a clever goal and overall his game was overwhelming.
LW Tariqe Fosu – 6.5
Magnificient debut games for Ghana, Tariqe. He was at the right place at the right time to connect home the opening goal for Ghana.
AM Andre Ayew – 7
Scorer of two goals. Andre was a great leader and added more to the offensive game of Ghana. What a way to make your 90th cap for your national team to go on 17 international goals.
CF Jordan Ayew – 6.5
Did not score but he still pose problems for the opponents as he created two of the five goals Ghana scored. First for Tarique Fosu and secondly for Andre Ayew.
Subs : Yakubu Mohammed, Caleb Ekuban, Kamaldeen Sulemana.
