Ghanaian center-back, Lalas Abubakar opened his goal account for Colorado Rapids FC in their 2-0 home win over FC Dallas in the Major League Soccer in America.
The Ghanaian defender played the entire duration of the match and was a pivot at the back for his team in their comfortable win on Wednesday evening.
The opening 45 minutes of the match was highly enjoyable and contested game with end-to-end play by both teams but the deadlock was could not be broken by any of the teams as the returned to the dressing room with a goalless stalemate.
Three minutes after the break, Abubakar rose highest in the box to power home the opening goal of the match with a beautiful header following a cross from a corner kick by Jack Price to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the second half.
Michael Barrios secured victory for the home team on the 55th minute mark as he bagged the all important second goal for Colorado Rapids FC to beat Dallas 2-0 at the end of the match.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian, Lalas Abubakar has played six games this season for his team in the MLS and has a goal to his name and some wonderful and consistent performances.
