Ghana defender Atamah Laweh scores as Istanbul Basaksehir dismantle giants Galatasaray in Turkish Super Lig

Ghana defender Joseph Atamah Laweh was on target as his side Istanbul Basaksehir handed giants Galatasaray a heavy 5-1 defeat on Saturday in the Turkish top flight league.

The Black Stars defender was a delight to watch as his incredible display in the thrilling game saw him register his name on the scores sheet.

Atamah, shot the host in front with a powerful header in the 25th minute to the delight of the vociferous home fans.

Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor registered his first and Istanbul Basaksehir second goal just a minute away from break.

Back from recess, Bafetimbi Gomis pulled one back for the visitors who were better in the early stages of the second half but Adebayor responded after three minutes with his second strike in the trilling clash.

Emmanuel Adebayor completed his hat-trick on the day when he netted again on the 76th minute from the spot before Kerim Frei Koyunlu wrapped the host 5-1 emphatic victory over Abdullah Avci’s Galatasaray who were useless on the day.
