EFL League Two outfit Bromley Football Club have formally announce the signing of London-born Ghanaian defender Jesse Debrah on loan from Sky Bet League One side Port Vale until the end of the season, subject to EFL and FA approval.

The 25-year-old began his career in the youth set-up at Championship side Millwall, gaining his first taste of senior football during loan spells at Billericay Town, Eastbourne Borough, and Dulwich Hamlet.

In 2020, he joined the Hamlet permanently, impressing in the National League South before earning a move to National League side Halifax Town. He signed for the Shaymen in the summer of 2021 on a short-term deal after shining as a trialist in pre-season, and marked his league debut with a goal away at Woking.

During his time at Halifax, Debrah made over 60 appearances and won the FA Trophy at Wembley in 2023, as the Blues defeated Gateshead 1-0 in the final.

The Croydon-born defender signed a two-year deal with Port Vale in September 2023, following his departure from Halifax. He featured 40 times in his first season, scoring in the Vertu Trophy against Newcastle United U21s, and followed it up with 41 appearances across all competitions the next season. Notably, he played the full 90 minutes against Bromley on both occasions, netted against Grimsby Town and Colchester United, and he was a part of the squad that achieved promotion back to League One following the Valiants’ relegation in 2024.

This season, he has been a key figure in Port Vale’s squad, making 17 league appearances and netting against Barnsley in a 5-0 Vertu Trophy victory.

Debrah will wear the number 15 shirt.
