The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has fined and suspended Dreams FC coach, Vladislav Viric for misconduct.
This comes due to his comments during a Ghana Premier League matchday 23 game against Asante Kotoko at the Len Clay Stadium in which his side lost 3-1.
Viric has been handed a match ban and a fine of Gh¢2,000 over his delinquency
to match officials after the game.
The coach was accused of making unsporting remarks against match officials for their performance after his side’s loss.
The Serbian trainer was not pleased with the performance of referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe and his assistants after the match.
Viric was quoted as saying the officials made up their minds to help Kotoko win after the painful loss.
A statement which in the opinion of the Ghana Football Association is likely to bring the game into disrepute and have handed a fine and suspension to Viric after pleading guilty to the charge against him.
Vladislav Viric shall within three (3) days, publicly apologise to the Referees of the GFA and the entire Association, failing which Vladislav Viric shall serve a further 6 months ban.
The Ghana Football Association, has urged all club officials and coaches as well as the playing body to desist from making comments about officiating in public and use the right channels to seek redress.
