President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku, says he is determined to lead the country to end its Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] trophy drought.
The four-time African champions haven’t won the continent’s most decorated title for the past 38 years despite playing in the finals of the 1992, 2010 and 2015 tournaments.
According to Mr Okraku, winning Ghana its fifth AFCON title remains that ultimate goal of his administration.
“My desire and the desire of every member of my administration and Ghanaians is to win the Africa Cup of Nations,” he told Nhyira FM in an interview.
“As a nation, we’ll do whatever possible, to win the trophy again,” he added.
Coach CK Akonnor’s side will play Sudan in a doubleheader next month in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
