Th Ghana Football Association, wants Ghana government, to come to its aid with a whopping $12M to help rebrand and develop football in the country after the coronavius pandemic.
It could be recalled the country’s football governing body, after the Anas exposè wrote to the sports ministry seeking a sponsorship package of $12 million to enable them resume football after cooperate Ghana refused to sponsor the league.
According to Kumasi FM, the Ghana FA in its proposal to government for a share of the COVID-19 stimulus package included an amount of $12 million for ‘branding and development’ of football after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Kurt Okraku-led GFA reiterated the fact that it has struggled to find a sponsor for the league from cooperate bodies.
The association, also believe, there are a lot of things needed to be done in rebranding football hence the demand for the above-mentioned amount.
The Ghana Premier League is currently on suspension due to the covid-19 that fighting the world.
