Ghanaian forward, Nana Opoku Ampomah’s side will play Genk in the Championship group of the Belgian first division for qualification to the European Champions League.
Antwerp will engage Genk in the 5th round of the Championship play off to determine who represents the country in next season Europe’s most prestigious club tournament. Antwerp are currently bottom on the mini tournament, the Championship group includes Anderlecht, Club Brugge KV and Genk.
Ampomah’s Antwerp share same point with Anderlect but with a better goal aggregate for the latter. Genk and Club Brugge however look poised to book the ticket with 38 and 43 points respectively with only two games to end the championship round.
The ex- Dusseldorf player was introduced in the 81st minute of the game when his side lost to Club Brugge over the weekend.
The Ghanaian international his made 15 appearances for Royal Antwerp this term, scored just a goal in the process.
