Medeama Sporting Club have taken the lead in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings after Week 6, continuing their strong start to the season.
The Tarkwa-based side drew 1-1 with FC Samartex over the weekend at TnA Stadium, securing a valuable point. Earlier, Medeama had beaten Dreams FC 2-1 at home, which helped them overtake Heart of Lions in the race for the top spot. The Yellow and Mauves now sit top of the table with 13 points.
Aduana FC have been in excellent form, winning their last two matches to collect six points. The Dormaa-based team trails Medeama by just one point, tied on 12 points with Hearts of Oak, who climbed to third after a 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea. Heart of Lions have slipped to fourth following their defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars, who themselves moved up to seventh after a 3-1 victory.
Elsewhere, Dreams FC recorded their first win of the campaign, beating Nations FC 2-0 and moving out of the relegation zone. Currently, the teams occupying the bottom three spots are Berekum Chelsea, Eleven Wonders, and Holy Stars.
With Week 7 approaching, the league promises more exciting battles as clubs fight to improve their positions and challenge for the title.
