Kumasi-based side, Asante Kotoko will start their 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season with a tricky fixture against Dreams FC on Saturday.
Having spent time on a good pre-season, the Porcupine Warriors look ready for the new season but will have to overcome the Believers to make a statement.
After placing second on the league log last season, Kotoko are looking to stage a title challenge under new head coach, Prosper Ogun Narteh, with the coach arriving from WAFA.
Dreams on the other hand have made some good additions to their squad, with the capture of Fatawu Issahaku and former Porcupine, Habib Mohammed.
Dreams believes they can secure their first win over Kotoko having failed to do so in the last few seasons that they the pair have met.
In the last five meetings between these sides, Kotoko have had the upper hand over thier rivals Dreams, winning four of those encounters while the Believers have managed just one.
The match kicks-off at 3pm at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 30.
