The Ghana Premier League week ten encounter between the Fearsome Sharks from Elmina and the Hunters from Bechem ended in a 2-1 victory for the home team.
The two teams battled it out under a windy condition in Elmina for all the three points at stake but none could found the back of the net in the opening exchanges of the first 45 minutes.
Though the hosts dominated the opening exchanges of the match but could not create a clear and obvious chances to take the lead as the first half ended goalless.
The second half saw both teams pushing forward for a goal but could not utilize the very few opportunities that came either sides way and but Tahir Mensah popped up at the 85th minute mark to score for the hosts as they went up 1-0 at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina.
Just at the end of the game, Bechem United were awarded a spot kick which was converted by Moro Salifu before Sharks grabbed all three points when Ishmael Hammond scored from the penalty spot deep into additional time to make the final score 2-1.
Sharks are now ninth on the league table after ten games with 14 points whiles Bechem United moves to third on the league log with 16
points.
Bechem United will return to their home grounds next weekend to take on XI Wonders and Elmina Sharks will hosts Dreams FC at home.
