The Ghana League Club Association- GHALCA has congratulated giants Hearts of Oak for winning the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians drew 1-1 with Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium to remain on top of the table with 61 points, four points better than arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.
Their crowning was confirmed by Asante Kotoko’s 2-1 loss at Bechem United.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh headed in a corner kick at the near post to make it back-to-back home wins.
The Ghana U20 captain was also the hero when he scored the solitary goal in the 1-0 win over Kotoko.
Samuel Boadu’s side have won the league for the first time in twelve years and will compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
The mother body of clubs in the country has taken to social media to congratulate coach Samuel Boadu and the Phobians for finally ending the 12 years trophy drought.
