Karela United FC defeated Berekum Chelsea at the CAM Park in Anyinase on Sunday afternoon in the Ghana Premier League 2020-21 week nine clash.
The hosts continued with their home dominance as they beat the visitors to record their fifth win in five matches at home this season.
Starman, Diawisie Taylor scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up on the 12th minute to register his seventh league goal of the season after nine matches.
After 29 minutes played on the clock, John Andoh grabbed the equalizer for the visitors to level matters for the Blue and Whites with 16 minutes left to the end of the first half.
Sixty seconds after the recess, striker, Kwame Boateng restored the home team’s one goal lead with a fine finish before adding the third goal and his brace on the day on the 60th minute mark to make it 3-1 to Karela United.
Eighteen minutes to full time, Karela United were awarded a spot kick and was perfectly dispatched by In-form forward Taylor to grab his eighth goal of the season in nine matches.
Karela United FC held on to the three goals to secure their biggest win of the season so far to return to the top of the league table with 17 points.
