Legon Cities secured a close win against Nsoatreman FC at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Joseph Mereku scored a penalty kick, helping the Royals get back to winning after a mixed second half of their season.

Fredrick Akatuk got injured and was replaced by Williams Adjei for Legon Cities just five minutes into the game.

In the 24th minute, Legon Cities got a penalty when Adjei was fouled in the box. Joseph Mereku took the penalty and fooled Daniel Afadwuo, the goalkeeper, to score.

Maxwell Konadu, the coach of Nsoatreman, tried hard to get an equalizer in the second half, but Legon Cities’ strong defense stopped all their attacks.

With this win, Fabin’s team climbed back to 11th place with 31 points, while Nsoatreman dropped to 7th place with 33 points in the league.

Legon Cities will play away against Dreams FC in their next match, while Nsoatreman will host Berekum Chelsea at home.
