Berekum Chelsea had to rely on Paul Atta Agyei’s first-half strike to record a narrow 1-0 win against Inter Allies on Sunday in matchday nine of the Ghana Premier League at the Berekum Golden City Park.
The Blues’ took the lead after 12 minutes into the game through Paul Atta Agyei after a blistering start to the game.
Inter Allies after going down composed themselves so well and started piling pressure on the home side in an attempt to grab the equalizer.
Chelsea captain Stephen Amankonah was booked in the 35th minute for a nasty tackle on Inter Allies player after he was left frustrated in the game despite his side’s lead by one-nil.
Inter Allies nearly doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 42nd minute but goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah pulled fantastic to deny Chelsea their second goal.
