King Faisal Football Club and Dreams FC will contest the first match of the new year at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman on Friday afternoon.
The team of Alhaji Karim Grusah has just one win out of six games played into the 2020/21 season losing four of those to WAFA, Karela United, Ashantigold and Hearts of Oak while drawing one against Aduana Stars.
Their only win in the last two football seasons came against Inter Allies on 4th December 2020 thanks to a lone goal scored by Samuel Kusi at the same venue as today’s encounter with Dreams FC.
Meanwhile Faisal’s opponents – Dreams FC – have not done any better either losing three matches, drawing twice and winning once.
The Dawu-based team coached by Karim Zito and Winfred Dormon are languishing at the 15th place on the league log on five points – just a point above their Friday opponents who are 16th on the standings.
The record of both sides this season means a lot will be at stake for both sides but Faisal who are the home team would feel they deserve these three points more.
