West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC dismantled Tarkwa-based Medeama SC in their week seven clash in Sogakope on Sunday.
The ‘School Boy’s’ outplayed the ‘Never Give Up’ lads in the opening exchanges of the match as they put four past Richard Ofori in the opening 45 minutes.
Daniel Agbloe Lomotey opened the scoring very early in the game to give WAFA the lead when he met a cross from left back John Tedeku and backheeled the ball into the net.
A minute after the half hour mark, Godwin Agbevor provided a sublime finish to put the hosts 2-0.
Six minutes later, Lomotey was at it again as he scored again to make it 3-0 to the home team and grabbing his second goal of the match.
At the very end of the first 45 minutes of the match, Lomotey struck again to put the game beyond the visitors with his first half hat-trick to make 4-0 to the home before the break.
After the recess, the visitors made changes and started creating few openings in the game and got their reward when Abass Mohammed converted a spot kick inside 57 minutes to make it 4-1 and reduce the deficit to three with over 30-minutes left on the clock.
Midfield jewel, Rashid Nortey scored from a free-kick to to reduce the deficit to two goals after 67 minutes and grabbed his brace in the 71st minute to bring the score to 4-3 with 19 minutes to go.
Lomotey grabbed his fourth goal on the 81st minute but Justice Blay scored a thunderbolt to make it 5-4 on the 85th minute mark.
