In a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League showdown, Aduana Stars clashed with Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
With high hopes of securing a victory, Aduana Stars, also known as the “fire boys,” entered the match with determination. However, Nsoatreman FC proved to be a formidable adversary, resulting in a hard-fought stalemate between the two teams.
Despite Nsoatreman FC being reduced to 10 men during the thrilling clash, Maxwell Konadu and his team displayed remarkable resilience and determination, ultimately earning a crucial point on the road.
The intensity of the match was further heightened when midfielders Abdul Manaf Umar and Daniel Afadzwu received red cards in the 52nd and 54th minutes respectively, altering the dynamics of the game.
Nsoatreman FC took an early lead with Kwabena Meider finding the back of the net just 12 minutes into the game, followed by Mohammed Abdul Rahaman doubling the advantage six minutes later. However, Aduana Stars fought back valiantly, with Issaka Mohammed scoring just before halftime to narrow the deficit.
In the second half, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah leveled the score for Aduana Stars, converting a penalty and securing a hard-earned draw for the team.
As a result of the draw, Aduana Stars have dropped to the third position on the league standings with 50 points, while Nsoatreman FC maintains their eighth position with 47 points.
Looking ahead, Nsoatreman FC will conclude their Ghana Premier League campaign with a match against Nations FC, while Aduana Stars faces Dreams FC in an away fixture.
