The senior national cricket team has qualified for the *World Cricket Division 5 League* with a game to spare after their victory against Tanzania today.
Ghana overhauled the 133 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs recorded by their opponents in the second innings following their 134 runs made for 5 wickets in 37.4 overs.
The victory marks Ghana’s 4th straight wins in the tournament after beating Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Botswana and Tanzania to consolidate the top spot with 8points.
With superior run rate over second placed Botswana, even a defeat for the Ghanaians in their last game against Zambia on Thursday will not derail their ambition of playing in the world championship expected to take place later in the year in the a yet to be named venue.
