Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus is set to undergo surgery after relapsing on his hamstring injury.
The 25-year-old, who has been sidelined since January with a combination of quad and hamstring problems, was nearing a return to action and had resumed individual training earlier this week.
The Black Stars’ midfielder’s participation at the World Cup is currently in serious doubt after scans on Wednesday 8th April, 2026, revealed a fresh injury.
The Ghanaian was hopeful of returning and even trained individually on Monday. He’s not expected to play for Spurs again this season.
New Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi will be particularly concerned about the development, with the Ghanaian attacker considered a key figure in his plans.
Kudus joined Tottenham from West Ham United last summer in a reported 55 million Pounds deal and has contributed two goals and five assists in the league this campaign.

The timing of the setback could hardly be worse for Ghana. Kudus remains one of the Black Stars’ most influential players heading into the World Cup, where they have been drawn in a challenging group alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
The Black Stars are scheduled to face England on June 23, in what is expected to be a pivotal group-stage encounter.
Kudus’ potential absence would significantly weaken Ghana’s attacking options, with the team heavily reliant on his creativity and goal threat.
