Ghana under-17 vice-captain Nathaniel Adjei is eager to help his team win the 2018 U17 West African Football Union (WAFU) Championship in Niger.
The Black Starlets booked their place in the final of the regional tournament after beating Ivory Coast 2-1 in a semi-final match on Wednesday.
Ghana had to rally from behind to score two goals in quick succession late in the first-half in the city of Niamey.
Umar Mohammed scored with a header, before the winner came shortly afterwards by Taufiq Shaibu.
As a result, Ghana will face their regional rivals Nigeria in the final of the tournament on Saturday.
“Games against Nigeria has always been tough. We are happy to reach the finals first of all,” Adjei is quoted Adjei by GHANASoccernet.com.
“The game against Ivory Coast was a tough one but we managed to make it through.
“The game against Nigeria will be very difficult but we are very confident we can beat them,” he added.
“We want to win the competition and I am ready to help us win the tournament and qualify for the Africa U-17 championship.”
