Ghana striker Emmanuel Boateng has commended his Levante teammates after securing a historic win over giants Real Madrid on Saturday in the La Liga.
Levante surprisingly defeated the European champions 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu in the Spanish Laliga.
The Black Stars attacker, who came on in the second half posted on social media expressing excitement in the victory.
“Great win and good teamwork 🐸🔴🔵#akyesaaaaa #macholevante,” Boateng posted on his Facebook page.
Jose Luis Morales and Roger Marti scored two goals for Levante to put them up before Brazilian left back Marcelo pulled one back for Real Madrid.
Boateng came on as a substitute in the 79th minute to replace Roger and to ensured his side maintained the score line against struggling Real Madrid side.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Raphael Dwamena warmed the bench throughout the match.
The win means that Levante currently sit seventh place on the Spanish La Liga table.
