Ghanaian forward Joe Doodo scored a brace for Doncaster Rovers when they defeated Scunthorpe United On Tuesday night to book their place in the knock-out stages of the Papa John’s Trophy.
Dodoo’s double in the 16th and 58th minutes plus one from Rodrigo Vilca helped a very young Rovers side secure a 3-2 win over Scunthorpe United.
Ryan Loft and Jake Scrimshaw scored the two consolation goals for Scunthorpe United.

Meanwhile, Dodoo was subbed in the 87th minute after making way for youngster Jack Goodman to make his debut for Doncaster Rovers.
