Ghana forward Frank Acheampong says he is elated to have survived relegation in the Chinese Super League with his side Tianjin Teda.
The 25-year-old netted 17 goals in 2312 league minutes in the season.
Acheampong’s continuous goal scoring form was very essential as he played an instrumental role for Teda who beat the drop in the Chinese top-flight.
“We were going down but thank God we survived and I must say that it was an amazing season,” he said.
“It was a very memorable season for us and me as well. I just have to thank the fans for their support,” he added.
The former King Faisal winger joined Tianjin Teda in the Chinese top-flight from Belgian giants Anderlecht.
