Ghanaian defender Clinton Antwi played a pivotal role in KuPS’s impressive 3-1 victory over HJK in a thrilling Finnish Veikkausliiga encounter, showcasing his talent and contribution to the team’s success.

Antwi’s exceptional performance was highlighted by his crucial role in providing two assists, amplifying KuPS’s attacking prowess and securing a memorable win in their longstanding rivalry with HJK.

Starting the match at the Savon Sanomat Areena, Antwi exhibited remarkable skill and vision throughout the full 90 minutes. In the 25th minute, he delivered a precise corner kick that met the head of Saku Savolainen, resulting in KuPS’s opening goal and setting the tone for the match.

Maintaining his impact, Antwi replicated his corner-kick prowess in the 67th minute, once again finding Savolainen with a pinpoint delivery, which the forward expertly headed into the back of the net to double KuPS’s lead.

The home side further solidified their advantage when Petteri Pennanen unleashed a spectacular strike from the penalty area in the 77th minute, extending KuPS’s lead to 3-0.

Although HJK managed to pull one back with a late consolation goal by David Ezeh in the 8th minute of stoppage time, it was KuPS who emerged victorious, clinching a well-deserved triumph thanks in part to Antwi’s instrumental contributions on the pitch.
