Dutch-born Ghanaian international Jeremie Frimpong is delighted to record his first goal of the season for Celtic in their 5-1 mauling of Hamilton on Sunday in the Scottish top-flight league.
The sensational 19-year-old opened his account for the new campaign against Hamilton Academical after he slotted home Celtic’s second from close range.
Greg Taylor’s inch perfect cross from the left side of Celtic’s attack found the Ghanaian youngster at the far post for a simple tap-in finish to make it 2-0 to the Champions.
The first half ended 2-0 to the host.
The former Manchester City player, is eligible to represent Ghana at the senior national level despite featuring for the Netherlands at the youth level.
He could be handed his debut Ghana call-up by Black Stars coach CK Akonnor when he switches allegiance to play for the four-time African champions.
