Ghanaian defender Kasim Nuhu Adams has signed a two-year contract with Finnish top-flight club Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS), joining the Veikkausliiga side as a free agent.
The 30-year-old centre-back brings extensive European experience, having played in the Swiss Super League, German Bundesliga, and Spanish leagues, as well as featuring in UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League. His previous clubs include Young Boys, TSG Hoffenheim, Fortuna Düsseldorf, FC Basel, and Servette FC.
Standing at 190cm, Adams is known for his physical presence, aerial strength, and ability to organise the defence. Speaking after the move, he expressed excitement about joining KuPS and praised the warm welcome from the squad and coaching staff.
“KuPS regularly participates in European competitions, so I was aware of the club. The first few practices have been very good, and I’m looking forward to working with the team,” Adams said.
KuPS sporting director Sixten Boström hailed the signing, highlighting Adams’ ability to strengthen both ball possession and aerial defence while providing leadership at the back.
Adams will aim to make an immediate impact as KuPS prepare for the upcoming Veikkausliiga season.
