Ghanaian youth international Kelvin Lamptey-Mills has completed a move to Greece after joining Super League Greece 2 side Kampaniakos on a free transfer following his departure from Cypriot outfit MEAP Nisou.
The highly-rated 20-year-old centre back sealed the deal after successful negotiations over the weekend, putting pen to paper on a one-year contract with an option to extend, a move aimed at supporting his long-term career development.
Lamptey-Mills opted for a fresh challenge after declining a contract extension with MEAP Nisou, choosing instead to continue his European journey in Greece. His contract with Kampaniakos runs until the winter of the 2026/27 season, offering him a renewed platform to rediscover top form and showcase his defensive qualities.
Despite enjoying a promising spell in Cyprus, the young defender saw his progress interrupted by injury. The move to Kampaniakos is expected to provide him with the opportunity to return to his best and play a key role in the club’s ambitions during the ongoing campaign.
With previous experience in the MLS and the Cypriot league, Lamptey-Mills is tipped to become a vital figure in Kampaniakos’ backline, bringing composure, versatility, and leadership to the squad.
Head coach Apostolos Charalampidis welcomed the Ghanaian’s arrival, praising his professionalism and quality, while expressing confidence that his leadership will be crucial at an important stage of the season.
Lamptey-Mills was also a standout member of the Black Satellites squad that finished third at the 2025 WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship, held in Ghana, further underlining his pedigree and bright future in the game.
