Ghanaian defender Kevin Lokko showcased his talent by scoring in Maidenhead United’s thrilling 4-3 defeat against Aldershot Town in a National League match at the EBB Stadium.
The match got off to an intense start with Aldershot’s James Henry opening the scoring in just the 3rd minute, capitalizing on a rebound to give his team an early lead. Maidenhead responded swiftly, equalizing in the 12th minute when Tristan Abrahams netted a goal with an assist from Reece Smith.
Aldershot took the lead again in the 58th minute through Oliver Scott, but the English-born, Lokko was instrumental in Maidenhead’s fightback. Just two minutes after Scott’s goal, Lokko provided a key assist for Abrahams’ second goal, bringing the match to 2-2.
The game continued with its back-and-forth momentum as Aldershot’s Kai Corbett and Hady Ghandour scored in the 63rd and 73rd minutes, respectively, pushing their team ahead 4-2. Despite the setback, Lokko found the net in the 79th minute, scoring a well-taken goal with assistance from Abrahams. However, despite Lokko’s efforts, Maidenhead was unable to secure a point, leaving the match with a narrow loss.
Lokko’s performance, highlighted by a goal and an assist, underscored his importance to the team, even in a closely contested match like this one.
