Charlotte FC are almost finalizing a deal to sign Ghanaian center-back Morrison Agyemang from Croatian club HNK Sibenik into their second team, Crown Legacy FC, Sportsworldghana.com understands.
Charlotte continue to use their second team as a place for both academy graduates to get minutes, as well as to bring in highly-rated talents from abroad. The club have used their second team aggressively, signing the likes of Leo Bartolovic, Baye Coulibaly, Idan Toklomati and Nikola Petkovic from abroad.
Agyemang, 20, has been a key starter for Sibenik in Croatia’s top tier, starting 31 league matches this season. The defender has scored two goals.
Before moving to Croatia, Agyemang had stint with Ghanaian club Cheetah FC.
Crown Legacy sit sixth in the 15-team MLS Next Pro Eastern Conference table after nine matches played.
