Ghanaian defender Richard Laryea scored the only goal of the game to power Toronto FC to a 1-0 win against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the Major League Soccer on Saturday.
The Ghanaian international registered his third goal of the season as Toronto FC picked all three points at the BMO Field.
In the 15th minute, Pablo Piatti took a shot that deflected off Alejandro Pozuelo and went straight to the feet of the Laryea at the top of the 18.
Laryea blasted it past Vancouver goalkeeper Thomas Hasal to give Toronto 1-0 lead. It marked Pozuelo’s seventh assist of the season in as many games.
Laryea has now made eight appearances and scored three goals for Toronto FC so far this season.
