Colchester release Kwame Poku for Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers

Ghanaian pair Kwame Afriyie Opoku and Brendan Sarpong Wiredu have been handed new jersey numbers at Colchester United ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Colchester United prepare for a new season, with a new management team and seven summer signings in the squad.

And ahead of this season’s opening pre-season fixture, the squad numbers have been revealed for the 2021/22 Sky Bet League Two campaign.

Black Stars attacker Kwame Opoku has been given a new number 23 shirt with Brendan Wiredu getting the number 6 shirt.
