Ghanaian forward, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu grabbed his fourth league goal in seven matches for Estoril Praia in the Portuguese second tier on Sunday.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker scored his side’s second goal of the match as they beat Varzim 2-0 away from home in the Portugal Secunda Liga.
Halfway through the first half, Andre Franco’s free kick was attacked by Hugo Basto at the far post and after Abdul-Aziz failed to get a touch, Hugo Gómez headed home The opening goal of the match to put the Magicians 1-0.
Eleven minutes after the first goal, the visitors were awarded a penalty after Rui Coentrao fouled Carles Soria inside the goal area on the 36th minute mark.
Abdul-Aziz stepped forward and gave the goalkeeper no chance as he slotted the ball home from 12-yards to put the away team 2-0 lead before the break.
The Blue and Yellows won the game with a 2-0 score line on the road to snatch their fifth victory of the season to go top of the League log with 16 points.
Abdul-Aziz played 71 minutes before he was substituted.
The young Ghanaian striker has played in all seven games this season in the Portuguese second tier and has hit the back of the net for Estoril Praia four times.
