Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere scored as Zhejiang Professional triumphed 5-2 over Nantong Zhiyun FC in a thrilling Chinese Super League match on Friday morning.

Held at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center Stadium, Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Owusu-Sekyere was instrumental, starting the match and playing 73 minutes.

Heading into the game, the head-to-head record between the teams showed Zhejiang Professional with two wins, Nantong Zhiyun FC with one, and three draws. Zhejiang quickly took control, dominating possession and shots on goal.

The scoring opened in the 13th minute when Zhejiang’s Franko Andrijasevic headed a cross from Qian Jiegei into the bottom left corner. Nantong Zhiyun FC equalized in the 25th minute with Issa Kallon’s header, assisted by Ye Daochi.

Zhejiang regained the lead in the 37th minute through Jean Kouassi, who netted a right-footed shot from a tough angle, assisted by Li Tixiang. Owusu-Sekyere then extended their lead in the 45th minute, scoring with a right-footed shot from the left side of the box, assisted by Andrijasevic after a set-piece.

In the 61st minute, Leonardo added to Zhejiang’s tally with a goal from the center of the box, again assisted by Andrijasevic. Nantong Zhiyun FC responded in the 83rd minute with Kévin Nzuzi Mata’s left-footed shot, assisted by Wei Lai.

Zhejiang sealed the win in stoppage time, with Leonardo scoring his second goal from the left side of the box, assisted by Yao Junsheng in the 90+7th minute.
